According to the US Dept of Labor, employment for massage therapists is expected to increase 20 percent from 2006 to 2016, faster than average for all occupations. Employment will grow as more people learn about the benefits of massage therapy. Currently, only 20% of the adult population has experienced a Massage Therapy session (at least once), reports the AMTA, leaving an enormous amount of growth potential for the industry.
