Lincoln Land Community College, in conjunction with Body Biz, Inc, is proud to present the new Massage Therapy Diploma Program! This full time intensive covers various massage courses including professional development; applied sciences of anatomy & physiology, kinesiology and pathology; modalities like Swedish massage, chair massage, sports massage, pregnancy massage, cranial sacral therapy, thai massage, special techniques, neuromuscular therapy and advanced massage techniques. Students will also have the opportunity to work on the public in the Student Massage Clinic and through our outreach program.
The Massage Therapy Diploma Program is 2 semesters. Classes meet Monday through Friday, 6p-10p. Student Clinic meets in the afternoons, 1 or 2 times weekly, 1:30p-5:30p, specific days tbd. The program will be held at the Capital City Training Center in Springfield, IL.

Upon completion of this 768 hour course, students qualify to sit for the National Certification Exam (NCE), presented by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) and can then apply for licensure through the State of Illinois.
Fees include tuition, materials, and professional association membership. Students may be required to complete CPR & First Aid, in accordance with the Illinois Depart of Financial & Professional Regulation I(IDFPR) Massage Therapy licensing requirements, in addition to the Massage Therapy Diploma Program. Fees for NCE ($175) & Illinios Licensure ($175) are not included.
Criminal background investigations are mandatory for candidates for licensure by IDFPR. Contact the IDFPR at (217) 785-058 for more information. Felony convictions may severely limit clinical placements and/or job opportunities in the field.
